樂隊簡介：paul mccartney在一次很偶然的機會裏發現了badfinger的一盤小樣，就這樣這幾個窮小子一步登天加盟甲殼蟲的蘋果唱片公司。在mccartney影響下，樂隊在風格上極其接近甲殼蟲，當時一度被稱為“窮人的甲殼蟲”。樂隊的命運也始終和甲殼蟲緊緊聯繫在一起，當第三張專輯《straight up》取得巨大成功時，蘋果唱片公司已陷於管理混亂的泥沼。不久後樂隊加盟華納公司，希望能憑藉新專輯《wish you were here》擺脫困境，但華納公司懷疑樂隊有造假帳的行為，從此樂隊被華納公司擱置起來。一九七五年，樂隊主唱兼吉他手pete ham因無法承受巨大壓力自縊身亡，樂隊不得不宣佈散。五年後，樂隊重組,可是依然難逃厄運，一九八三年 ，回天乏術的貝司手tom evans過世。
